Cowboy Cookies

Hold onto to your hats! This cookie is going to send your
taste buds riding fast for more!

Cowboy Cookies are soft, chewy and loaded with flavors, theses cookies
are irresistibly DELICIOUS.

This recipe makes a huge batch  of cookies. They were perfect for Party Favors
at our table for a Western Formal we went to.

Get your Cowboy hat on and lets some make Cowboy Cookies.

In an extra- large mixing bowl, combine

3 cups of flour
1 tbsp. baking soda
1tbsp. baking powder
1tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. salt

In another large bowl grab 1 and 1/2 cups butter. softened at room temp.

Yee Haw, thats a lot of BUTTER Cowboys and Cowgirls :)

Beat the butter on medium speed for one minute
until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

Measure out 1 and 1/2 cups of granulated sugar and
1 and 1/2 cups of light brown sugar

Yee Haw, that there is lots of sugar Cowboys and Cowgirls :)

Tumble all the sugar into the creamed butter.

Give the bowl a good mix with the beaters.

Beat 3 eggs into the batter for 30 seconds.

To the wet batter add in 1 tbsp. of vanilla.

In the large bowl that has the dry ingredients, add the wet
ingredients and stir till well combined.

Keep mixing till you see no white flour.

Toss into the bowl 2 cups of sweetened coconut flakes.

Toss into the bowl 3 cups of rolled oats ( quick oats ).

Stir till all are mixed ( I hope your arm is strong :) )

Toss into the bowl 2 cups of pecans and mix it all into the batter.

Toss into the bowl 3 cups of your favorite semisweet chocolate chips.

How is your arm feeling because now you have to give this bowl
a mix again. I actually switched and used
my hands to mix at this point.

Nothing more goes into the bowl. Cowboys and Cowgirls..Ya Hoooo!

You can go ahead and bake some cookies now or
pop the heavy bowl into the fridge.

Wowza.  It took a lot of tools to mix the cookie dough.

Now Cowboys and Cowgirls, grab some baking sheets but do not grease them.

Use a 1/4 cup measuring cup and drop the dough onto the baking sheet.

Leave three inches between the cookies to allow for spreading.
With a spoon give the dough a gentle press.

Bake the cookies in a 350 degree oven for 13 to 18 minutes, until
lightly browned (don't burn them).

 Rotate sheet halfway through baking.

Pardners, I wish you could smell these cookies now!

Now let these Cowboy Cookies cool.

I told you this recipe makes a lot of cookies. I even had some dough to freeze.

These cookies are jumbo.

Texas size and loaded Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies.

Giddy Up!

My Cowboy Cookie Party Favors are ready for
The Western Formal Party!

Everyone at our table got three Cowboy Cookies wrapped up with a bow!

Dress Like A Cowboy!
