BARBECUE BAKED BEANS

Barbecue Baked Beans just need to be at your 4th Of July Party. They are a crowd please for sure. My daughter Claire was heading up to Tahoe for the long weekend and I offered to make a
pot of Barbecue Bake Beans that she could take up with her. This is a
" No Stress Recipe" for sure :)

Yup…Nothing wrong with this picture. Start with cooking up some Bacon.

Chop up one onion.

Grab a bowl and mix 1/2 cup of ketchup and 1/2 cup barbecue sauce.

Add in 1/4 cup of brown sugar.

1 tablespoon of yellow mustard.

1 tablespoon Worcestershire.

A few drops of Liquid Smoke.

Take out your cooked bacon and save some of the bacon grease and sauté the onions.

This smells "Awesome" !

This is where the no stress comes in. Grab 3- 28oz cans of your favorite Pork n' Beans.
Pour off all the standing liquid in the top of the can and add to the pot with onions.

Mix beans gently with the ketchup mixture.

Crumble up the bacon and yes…into the pot :)

Have a taste to see if you want to add something else to the pot.
There are no rules with this recipe. Just tell me
what you added. I may like it too.

Absolutely have a beer.

Happy 4th of July and don't leave your flips at the Beach or Pool behind.
Enjoy!
