MY MOTHER'S BANANA CAKE

This recipe for Banana Cake I feel is just the best. My mom made it often and she passed her
recipe on to me. There was a step back in time  that came across my
mind as I made this moist delicious Banana Cake…

The hand written recipes are completely stained with grease and embedded bread crumbs.
You can see the faded ink and you can also see what amazing hand writing my mom had.

I will give you the recipe how she wrote it.

1 cup of sugar
1/2 ' butter
1 egg
6 Tbsp of milk
1 cup masshed bananas (about 3)
1 tsp baking soda disolved in 1 Tbsp hot water
1 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 cups flour

Put all together and mix, not too long. Bake 350 degrees 1hr in loaf pan. Ck center with toothpick.

And Thats What I did…

Few more ingredients to toss in.

Flour and don't …

mix not too long, she wrote. I won't mom.

Bake 350 degrees about 1 hr in loaf pan, she wrote.

How fabulous does this
"My Mother's Banana Cake" look?

This brings back some great memories.

While the cake is still warm it's not wrong to add a little butter :)

Have a bite and tell me you won't be making this
"My Mothers Banana Cake" soon.

Enjoy!

P.S.

Cherish your hand written recipes cards from anyone special to you.
These are just some of my hand written recipe cards from my
mom. She would send them to me in the mail
