Butternut Squash Sausage Soup Is Drooling Delicious!
There is something so perfect about cozying up to a Hot Bowl
of Creamy Butternut Squash Sausage Soup in the colder months.
So consider joining me in Soup Season!
This is one of my favorite soup recipes and it's like a
Big Ol' Hug in a bowl.
The sweetness of the Butternut Squash in this soup is balanced out
by the rich Savory Sausage, Veggies and Spices.
Top the soup with some roasted Butternut Squash Seeds and you have
a rich, velvety packed soup full of fall flavors in every Sip. :)
Soup Season Is Upon Us So Let's Get Cooking.
Grab your Butternut Squash and slice it in half.
With a spoon scoop out all the insides and save
the seeds to roast later because they are Tasty!
You will need 1/2 of a Pear, cored.
Slice up a half Onion.
Slice in half one Yellow Squash.
Dice up one Red Bell Pepper.
Chop up two Garlic Cloves or more if that's
what your taste buds scream for. :)
Place all the vegetables on a sheet pan
and throw on some Cherry Tomatoes too.
Ya know, this is kinda like a Sheet Pan Soup because
you are roasting all the vegetables on a
Sheet Pan. :)
Place the Garlic & Onions into the cavities
of the Squash & Pear.
Drizzle the vegetables all over with Olive Oil
and a shake of Salt & Pepper.
Place the vegetables into a 400 degree oven
for 40-50 minutes till folk tender.
You will need to keep an eye on the vegetables while
they cook because some of them will cook a bit faster than the Squash.
Now let's cook up some of my Favorite sausage...
Jimmy Dean!
LOL, take the Sausage out of the wrapper first. :)
Perfectly brown the Sausage and just set it aside.
No need to drain the Grease because that's Golden Juice.
Well, looks like my Tomatoes & Yellow Squash are cooked.
I pulled them off the sheet pan.
Grab a large pot or bowl and tumble in the cooked Tomatoes.
Scoop out all the insides of the Yellow Squash
including the seeds and leave the skin.
Plop the Yellow Squash in with the Tomatoes.
Scoop out all the sweetness from the
Pear and leave the skin.
Butternut Squash is done and I could
just eat this right NOW! :)
Grab the Onions & Garlic out of the Squash
and toss them into the pot.
Scoop out all the delicious Butternut Squash
and leave the skin.
Into the pot it goes to join the Soup PaRtY
It's A Dump & Blend.
Run and find the Immersion Blender in your kitchen.
Blend away till creamy.
You can also leave a few chunks too because it's Your Soup.
Grab your Orange Pumpkin Pot because we are going
to be serving up the Butternut Squash Sausage Soup in Seasonal Style.
It's Orange November!
Pour all the blended vegetables into the Pumpkin pot.
It's not soup yet but Bye Golly Miss Molly
it sure tastes Delicious right now.
Grab 2 cups of Beef Bone Broth and set it
next to some beautiful Orange Flowers.
Put your burner on medium high and pour
the Beef Bone Broth into the Pumpkin Pot.
Time for the Jimmy Dean Sausage.
Think someone has been nibbling into the Sausage?
Me...LOL
Tumble in the Sausage to the Soup PaRtY
and bring it all up to a boil and then down to a simmer.
Have a taste and see it you want to add a
little more this or that.
I added a bit more Salt & Pepper but you do you.
After all, it's your Soup. :)
Well, Mr. Pig said the Butternut Squash Sausage Soup
is Finished and Delicious but it's not time to serve it up yet.
Put a lid on the Soup until you are ready to Serve and Enjoy.
Soup Season Is Upon Us So Lets
Serve It Up....NOW!
Shall We?
Ladle the Butternut Squash Sausage Soup into
the bowls and don't forget to garnish it with...
The Roasted Butternut Squash Seeds!
Make sure you have Orange & White Striped Napkins
just in case your sip spills. :)
Ladle On..
Like I said "It's Drooling Delicious Like A Big Ol' Hug In A Bowl".
It's your bowl of Soup so go with a few
dashes of Chipotle Tobasco. :)
Enjoy!
P.S.
Freezer Goals Right Here.
Don't Let Anyone Squash Your Dreams!
