Mine Says...
Memorial Day Dessert Yum!
Dessert Baking Ready!
In a double boiler melt one cup of semisweet chocolate chips.
I used Ghirardelli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips for this cake.
Once the chocolate has melted, add in 3/4 cup of room temperature
unsalted butter and whisk away.
To the pot toss in...
1/2 cup of cocoa powder
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla
Whisk away till smooth!
Remove the pot from the stove and whisk in eggs one
at a time, but keep whisking until smooth again.
You may want to a taste test here because it's DELICIOUS.
Pour the batter into a cute 8 inch prepared baking dish.
Bake this decadent cake in a 350 degree oven for 40 -50 minutes
Test for doneness with a fork along the edge, and in the middle.
The edge should come out clean while the middle should have
some crumbles stuck to it.
While the cake is cooking enjoy all of this :)
Cool the cake for 20 to 30 minutes before decorating
Sprinkle of powdered sugar all over the top.
This Decadent Chocolate Cake can be served on it's own, or
accompanied with whip cream, fresh berries or a
drizzle of chocolate ganache.
It could also scream Ice Cream please!
Got My Sprinkles On!
Enjoy!
P.S.
Have A Great Memorial Day Weekend.
