Hungarian Goulash is not quite as heavy as a stew, it's
hearty and sweetly spicy. My girlfriend Marge was in Hungary a few weeks ago
and brought me back some Hungarian Paprika. So of course I had to
make a Ghastly Ghou- - Lash for Halloween.
Love my sour cream Ghost.
This isn't a quick recipe, but more a slow burner- though still
very easy to throw together and walk away while it cooks.
Heat the oil in the pan and cook the onion for 3-4 minutes, then
stir in the garlic and cook for one more minute.
Add the meat and cook over a high heat until browned.
Lower the heat to medium and add the paprika and tomato paste and stir.
Tumble in the tomatoes.
Next in goes mushrooms, carrots and green & orange peppers.
Pour in the beef stock.
Bring to a boil and then cover.
Reduce to a simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until meat is tender.
This smells and looks Amazing! Lets have some.
I served my Ghastly Ghou- - Lash over some
Egg Pappardelle pasta but elbow pasta would be great too.
Something is missing here??
Some Wine Please!!!
Have a bite. Think someone is watching you.
