GIRLFRIENDS COCKTAIL HOUR

I was hosting a cocktail party for some some amazing gals
that I met back when our children were in pre-school.
We all spent many great Wednesday nights barbecuing at
our local pool, the TPC in Tiburon with the kids.
It was always so much fun and I don't think we ever missed a Wednesday.
So I decided to to get the gals together for a causal...
Wednesday Happy Hour… Or Three :)

To keep my girlfriends Mingling & Munching
we need Hors d'oeuvres …
Lets take a second and talk about Burrata Cheese.
If you haven't tried it yet, run to the store and buy it right now.
Burrata means "buttered' in Italian, so yeah, you know its good!
When you cut into it, cream oozes out.
I topped the Burrata with fresh pesto, drizzle of olive oil, chopped tomatoes and a sprinkle of sea salt.
Burrata is rich, creamy and so divine just all by it self too.
Once you taste it, you will be addicted … Just A Warning!

Cheesy Mushroom Puff Pastry Bites are fabulous!
Its always nice to serve at least one hot appetizer.
I bought puff pastry at the market and with a cookie cutter made small rounds.
Poke fork holes in the pastry.
Top a dollup of Dijon, sautéed mushroom & onions and gruyere cheese
on each round
Bake for about 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

We ate them all. So simple and Yum.

Cucumber Humus Rolls can be made way ahead of time!
I mix my hummus with chopped kalamata olives.
Grabbed my madeleine and sliced strips of cucumbers.
Spred hummus and roll.  Easy Peasy.

Girls alway need a vegetable plater, right.
I served the veggies with an artichoke jalapeño dip.

If you keep your appetizers simple and easy
you will entertain more often. Trust Me :)

We always have fun and great laughs.
Yes, we got our Selfie!

Enjoy!

P. S.

Oh dear, were we doing makeovers.
Haaaaa
