This easy Beef, Broccoli and Cashew recipe has an addictive sauce
that's super quick to make from scratch! It rivals
even the best Chinese "Takeout".
If you're anything like me, you feel strongly that Chinese takeout
is one of life's small joys. But you know what's even better?
Making this simple dish in your own kitchen because it tastes
so good that you'll forget all about takeout :)
I don't know if you guys are ready for this Takeout dish but ready or not here it comes!
You will need about 3lbs of boneless beef chuck and
fresh broccoli florets, as desired ( I like lots )
Slice the beef chuck into small thin slices and
trim some of the large pieces of fat.
All the beef slices are ready to be cooked.
Add as much broccoli as you want in your dish.
I went with lots because I love broccoli :)
Toss all the broccoli into a bowl.
Don't for get the crumbs :)
Grab a cute Green & White striped bowl for the sauce.
For The Delicious Sauce...
1 cup of beef broth
1/2 cup of soy sauce
1/3 cup of brown sugar
1 tbsp of sesame oil
3 cloves of garlic
red pepper flakes to your liking
Give this bowl a good whisking and have a taste.
You may want to add a little more this or that.
You are going to need a large Yellow Dutch Oven for cooking :)
Add some olive oil to the pot over high heat. Let the
pot heat up for a few minutes.
Tumble in all the broccoli and cook for about 4-5 minutes,
tossing and stirring often. It will be tender and crisp.
Remove the broccoli from the pot.
Add a bit more olive oil and in goes the beef.
Add some of the beef in a single layer. Stir and flip it for about
a minute or so. It cooks fast and will easily overcook
and become tough. Leaving it a bit rare
at this stage is ideal.
Perfect time to pull the beef out and continue
with the rest of the beef in batches.
Just a few more batches and on with the recipe.
Toss all the broccoli and beef back into the Yellow Dutch Oven.
Give the pot a stir.
Need that delicious sauce now!
With the pot on low heat, pour all the sauce in and stir.
I like Cashews. Do you like Cashews?
In goes as many Cashews as you want :)
I like Toasted Sesame Seeds. Do you like Toasted Sesame Seeds?
Shake in as much Sesame Seed as you want :)
Whip up some white rice.
This Dish is READY!
Take the Yellow Dutch Oven off the stove
and serve it while it's hot!
Put a little rice on your plate first.
Top with some sliced green onions.
This Beef, Broccoli and Cashew Dish is absolutely fantastic
with the thinly sliced tender beef smothered in a delicious
sweet and savory sauce.
Wait till you bite into the broccoli and get that juicy burst of flavor too.
Make this simple recipe in your own kitchen because
it will taste so good that you'll forget all about
TAKEOUT.
Time for a Netflix movie and my at homemade Takeout.
Have a taste :)
