SHRIMP CREOlE

Shrimp Creole is the perfect meal for your squad on those rainy nights like we have been having
at our home in Marin County, California.  I made two pots of this dish because it's just
so delicious and it freezes perfectly!

With this recipe for Shrimp Creole you can easily bring the authentic taste of classic
Cajun cooking straight to your dinner table in 45 minutes or less.

Jumbo shrimp and sausage simmer in a spicy tomato sauce, loaded with the
holy trinity of onion and bell pepper. This is comfort food that
will absolutely warm you up!

Cook up some bacon in the pan to render the grease.

Tumble the celery, peppers, and onions into the pot with the grease.

Add in some garlic paste to the pot. Saute the vegetables just long enough to
soften the slightest bit and begin to release their flavors.

This truly is a no measure recipe!

Same with the second pot :)

Add in a little Salt & Pepper then stir and saute.

Same with the second pot :)

Slice up some spicy Cajun sausage.
I used two packets in each pot but add more if you like.

Grab a variety of canned tomatoes...

Toss the sausages into both of the pots and give it all a stir.

Pour in a few cans of the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.

Same with the second pot :)

Add as much as you like of the Diced Green Chiles.

Several shakes of both of these here. Have a taste to see if you need more.

If you have never used the Creole seasoning before, its fabulous in so many other dishes :)

Sprinkle, Pour & Stir

Turn the pot on to medium heat at this point.

Same with this pot :)

Divide this chicken broth between the two pots.

You will need two large bags of frozen jumbo shrimp.

Tumble in the shrimp.

Same with this pot :)

Now, depending on how "HOT" you like your Shrimp Creole,
add hot pepper flakes.

Bring the pot to a boil and make sure the shrimp turns pink.
Then turn it down to a simmer.

Same with the other pot :)

Some parsley over the top.

Have a taste to see if you need a bit more of this or that.

OMG...so delicious!

Am I In New Orleans on this rainy night?

Top the Shrimp Creole with some fresh green onions.

Shrimp Creole is fabulous on a bed of rice and some bacon on top.

Go right ahead and add some hot sauce in your bowl :)

Enjoy!
