COW PIES

Cow Pies Are Insanely Delishhh....

This candy takes about 10 minutes to whip up and has 3 ingredients.

It's a combination of rich chocolate, crunchy peanuts and sweet dried cranberries in every bite.

Cow Pies make for a fabulous gift but be sure to save a jar for yourself.

Grab 2 bags of your favorite milk chocolate.

Over a double boiler slowly melt the chocolate pieces.

Open up a can of peanuts and a bag of cranberries.

Smash up a bunch of candy canes for garnish.

Pull the chocolate off the stove top and toss in 1 cup of peanuts.

You could add more if you like it really nutty :)

Pour in the whole bag of cranberries.

Give the bowl a good mix and have a taste :)

With a spoon start dropping the pies on tray or pan.

Sprinkle the Cow Pies with the candy canes and place in the fridge to firm up.

Second tray done and off to the fridge :)

Lots of Christmas candy in my kitchen.

Santa is guarding the refrigerator door so that no
one will steel any of the Cow Pies!

Thank You Santa!

Time to gift these Cow Pies up.

Grab some cute mason jars and fill them up with the
delicious Cow Pies.

Have a Cow Pie before I close the lids :)

Tie a Christmas bow.

Cute name tags and off they go. Fa La La

My favorite candy making helpers in my kitchen!

Now for a little Christmas music!

Enjoy!

P.S.

This recipe lends it's self well to variations. Sometimes I used dark chocolate
chips, and substitute walnuts or almonds instead of peanuts.
If you don't like cranberries leave them out and go
with dried cherries and raisins.

Do you know why they are called Cow Pies? Wink
