COLD PASTA SALAD

 

We were invited to a Poolside BBQ and I was asked to bring a side dish.

Well, when its 'HOT" outside I start craving my Cold Pasta Salad. It's just one

of those summer dishes that's always been my go to.

My recipe for this Cold Pasta Salad doesn't reinvent the wheel when it comes to 

Pasta Salad, it's just so tasty you've got to make this salad.

The "Pasta-bilities" are endless with this recipe!

By all means you can make it yours by adding any crunchy veggies,

tuna, chicken, shrimp, tomatoes or olives.

There is no right or wrong way!

Start with you favorite pasta and boil till al dente.

Once the pasta is done run it under cold and then drain in a colander. Set the pasta aside.

Chop up about 4 or 5 celery stalks into small pieces. 

You can add more later if you like.

Chop up one whole red onion.

Chop up as much green onion as you would like in the salad.

Grab two blocks of....

Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese & Medium Cheese from the fridge.

Chop up the cheeses into small pieces because you will want

cheese in every bite of your Pasta Salad....right :)

Tumble in all the pasta to a serving bowl.

Toss into the bowl all the veggies.

After I tumbled in the cheese, I realized I have more to add and my bowl is now too small.

 I  just moved to a larger bowl so I am able to properly mix up the Pasta Salad :)

Three important ingredients, so grab them from the fridge.

Dollop in some Mayo, Sour Cream and Mustard to the bowl.

I will stir and taste to see if I need more :)

Little salt & pepper to taste.

I love lots of pepper!

Going to have another taste to see if I need a little more of anything.

Think a bit more mayo, sour cream, mustard and red onions.

Garnish with some dill.

Pasta Perfection!

Cover the Pasta Salad and place in the fridge to get it really cold.

In the fridge till we leave for our party next to my homemade

Peach Blueberry Jam, which I will bring 

as a little hostess gift.

We are totally ready for our Poolside BBQ....
