OVERNIGHT SAUSAGE HASHBROWN BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

This easy "Breakfast Casserole" is delicious! Shredded potatoes are layered
between savory Jimmy Dean sausage, melted cheese, eggs and more. A
classic "Crockpot Breakfast" your family and guests will
rave about for sure!

You may feel like you just woke up in a fancy Bed & Breakfast :)

Here we go....

Dice up one onion.
Dice up one red pepper
13 eggs
1 package of frozen shredded hash browns (thawed out)
2 cups cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups of whole milk or heavy cream
One package of Jimmy Dean sausage (cooked)
Salt & Pepper to taste

Grease the crockpot insert with a good bit of your favorite butter well.

Sprinkle half of the bag of shredded potatoes in the bottom of the pot.

Potatoes always need a little salt & peeper. Give it a dash.

Grab your cooked Jimmy Dean sausage which
I call the star of the show in this recipe :)

Tumble in half of the sausage and top with half of the
red pepper & onions.

Sprinkle over the top with half of the cheddar cheese.

Repeat the layers again but this time give the potatoes
a little extra....Butter...

Pour the milk into the eggs and give it a good beating.

Add a little salt & pepper into the bowl.

Pour the egg mixture all over the top evenly into the crockpot.

Grab the lid and put into the refrigerator until you are ready to cook

This can all be made a day or two ahead.

Cooked covered on low for 5-6 hours until the edges begin to brown.

We had two couples staying with us up in St Helena this past weekend. My husband got
up at around 2:00 am and turned the crockpot on so we could all
have a hot restaurant worthy breakfast in the
morning at 8:00 with our......

Bloddy Mary's & Mimosas

Try this Overnight Sausage Hashbrown Breakfast Casserole
you will love it and most likely make it
more than once!

Santa said "a few dashes of  Cholula never hurt any dish".

Our tummies were happy and so were our husbands. Fa La La

P.S.

You can have other variations on the recipe.
