CHERRY TOMATO JAM

All you need to hold on to summer all year long are some cherrie tomatoes,

water and sugar and you will have this jam all year!

Smells like tomatoes but doesn't taste like tomatoes because it's so sweet.

Tastes like "Summer Candy In A Jar".

Load up on all those beautiful tomatoes that are growing like crazy this time of year.

Slice up 3 cups of the cherry tomatoes and pop them into a sauce pan.

Measure out 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of water.

Mix the sugar and water in with the tomatoes.

Place the tomatoes on the stove top and bring them up to a boil.

Once the tomatoes come to a boil immediately lower heat to a simmer

 and cook for 35 minutes until the tomatoes have completely burst and a thick jam is formed.

It's been boiled, simmered and now it's thick and rich :)

Grab your colander.

Strain the tomatoes through the holes of the colander, pushing it through

 with the back of a spatula or spoon. The colander will catch

all the peals. Keep the seeds because you

want to know what you are eating :)

Return the mixture to the saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes until it's

completely thick and has a jam-like consistency. 

Let the jam cool and store it in whatever you like.
