Jamming into the first day of summer with my
Jam Tart!
Every cook needs a good recipe that can be whipped up anywhere- especially
when it's hot out and you don't want to spend too much time
in the kitchen, right.
No mixer needed and no rolling pin needed. This Jam tart is the recipe for you. All
you need is tart pan, knife and a bowl. If you have a food processor
your a few steps ahead. So Yummy!
In a bowl with a fork or a mini food processor mix 5 ounces of buttery
Ritz crackers with 7 tablespoons unsalted soften butter.
Pulse in 1/4 cup of sugar.
Remove a round tablespoon of crumb mixture and set aside.
Press the dough into whatever 9-inch tart pan you fancy. Pop this into
a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes.
Grab 1 3/4 cups of your favorite Apricot Jam. Yes right out of a jar :)
I am telling you. Move over Graham Crackers it's all about the
Buttery Salted Sweet Crust from the Ritz!
Spoon the jam onto the tart shell evenly.
Top with the crumble that was set aside and back into the oven for
20 to 25 five minutes. Enjoy the smell in
you kitchen.
Let the tart cool to room temperature.
I did a little windowsill cooling to speed it up :)
Pop the Jam Tart out.
Slice and enjoy because it is so darn scrumptious :)
Pour some ice tea with frozen ice cubes filled with summer fruit
and head outside. It's summer so relax.
Cheers To Summer Spent On Porches.
P.S.
Top your Tart with a little ice cream or whip cream.
