Around this time of year I get the urge to make homemade applesauce
and serve it with Pork Chops. To me it's the perfect
pairing for a fall dinner.
This time I took my applesauce up a notch and added sweet peaches
Wow did it taste
Fabulous!
At the market grab about two pounds of Gala apples and 4 peaches.
Peal and chop up the peaches and apples.
Place your apple slices and peaches in a orange pumpkin Dutch Oven.
To the pot add...
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup apple juice concentrate, thawed
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
3/4 cup of water
Give it all a stir and bring to boil. Simmer for 25 minutes and keep stirring
occasionally so apple don't stick to the bottom of the pot. When
apple and peaches are tender pull pot off the stove.
Perfect Fall Colors :)
With an emergent blend give the peach and apples a good smash
to the consistency you like.
Have a taste you will love it.

P.S.
Think I may try next Strawberry Apple Sauce next :)
