SLOW COOKED APPLE BUTTER

When Autumn Calls In The Kitchen...

It's slow cooker 'season'! And by 'season' I mean now. I pulled mine out.

Homemade Apple Butter is the best! That thick 'butter' like consistency applesauce spread
all over some cinnamon toast, bagels. pancakes and waffles
in the morning is simply Amazing!

Grab a bag of some crisp red apples.

Peal and slice about 14 cups of the red apples.

Toss the apples into the slow cooker with 2 cups of sugar and 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon.

Little more fall spice...1/4 tsp ground cloves and 1/4 tsp allspice.

Give the apples a good mix up.

Cover and cook 4 hours on low until apples are very
tender and most of the liquid
is evaporated.

Your Kitchen will be spelling AMAZING soon!!

The apples cooked beyond their breaking point
stirred with sugar & spice.

Blend up the apples in a food processor.

Love this deep rich color.

Now just ladle your Apple Butter into several Mason Jars.

This recipe makes just enough Apple Butter to enjoy (and not get sick of)
plus a few jars to share with your friends. YUM...

Apple Butter is such a great fall surprise gift for everyone.

Wine, Spatula and Apple Butter made a perfect hostess gift for my friend Courtney.

Let me know what you put in your gift bag this fall

Enjoy!
