IRISH SODA BREAD

Well it's almost St. Patricks Day so of course I have to start making the traditional
Irish Soda Bread. I absolutely love this bread because it taste like one big biscuit.
Think I may start making Irish Soda Bread all year round…
The easiest bread you can ever make.

Mix together 4 cups flour, 4 tbsp sugar, 1tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt in a large bowl.

Add 1/2 cup soften butter  and one egg.

Pour in 1 1/4 cup of Buttermilk.

Mix all ingredients well.

Flour work surface and shape dough into a round.

Melt a 1/2 cup of butter and brush the loaf.

Cut an X in the top of the loaf and bake in a 375 degree oven for 45 minutes.
With the left over melted butter  brush the loaf every 15 minutes in the oven.

While your Irish Soda Bread is cooking grab a 4 leaf
clover cookie cutter and fill it with some
Irish Butter for spreading. YUM.

Love my cutting board.

I know a few Leprechauns who are ready for a slice.

You will love this Irish Soda Bread even if your not…
Irish xo

Have a bite.

I am so sorry I forgot to give you a napkin.

Now you can talk like a Leprechaun…

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Enjoy!
