I LOVE to bring over homemade gifts to my friends
for no other reason than to put a
smile on their faces!
Pistachio Pesto was the perfect gift because my Basil was really growing
great out on my porch and I had a few bags of Pisachios
from the farmers market sitting on my
kitchen counter.
It's a green, nutty, wonderful flavor that dances on your tongue.
Pistachio Pesto is absolutely Fabulous on just about...Everything!
First run out and grab the Basil.
Truck pulled up with all the ingredients you will need
for your Pistachio Pesto Gifts :)
Pull off about 3 cups of Basil from your plants.
Toss all the Basil into a mini food processor.
Grate up 1/2 cup of fresh Parmesan cheese.
Toss the cheese in with the basil.
Tumble in 1/3 cup of the Pistachio nuts into the party.
Truck just dumped 3 cloves of garlic all chopped up.
Throw the garlic right on into the party.
Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of salt.
Sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
Now pulse all the ingredients together until finely chopped.
Truck just rolled in with one of my favorite bottles of Olive Oil.
Pour in 1/2 cup of olive oil into the blender and give
a few more pulses. Continue to blend until the mixture is fully combined.
Looks like perfection to me :)
Taste the Pesto and adjust the seasoning with extra
salt, pepper, cheese or olive oil.
I am all good right here because it tastes DELICIOUS now.
Truck just rolled in with the Gift Jars!
Start filling up the jars and don't forget to scrape the blade.
I just love the Color & Taste this
Pistachio Pesto has,
Truck is ready for some delivers to put smiles on some friends.
Yes, of course I saved a Jar of Pistachio Pesto for us too.
A simple slice of toasted French Baguette with a spread of Ricotta Cheese topped
with Pistachio Pesto made for a perfect appetizer
for a little dinner party we threw.
