KENTUCKY WHISKEY MEATBALLS

It's A Run For The Roses with these...

Kentucky Whiskey Meatball Appetizer!

These meatballs are sweet, spicy and a little Boozy. Yes, so delicious
that everyone will ask for seconds so you'll definitely
want to make a double batch!

The Perfect Appetizer for

The Kentucky Derby!

First of all The Kentucky Derby is really all about...

The Hats, Flowers and Whiskey and a bit about Horses, right?

Saddle up the Horses cuz we are off to the Races in the kitchen now.

Measure out  3/4 cup of Chile Sauce and a !/2 cup of BBQ sauce.

Pour both sauces into a large Dutch Oven.

Pour in 1/2 cup of Apricot Preserves into the pot.

What are the Odds that Apricot Preserves is my all time Favorite?

Your Odds are good. I am going in for a few spoonfuls.

Add in 1 Tbsp of Worcestershire sauce.

Add in 1/2 Tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar.

Add in 1/2 Tsp of Garlic Powder.

Add in 1/2 Tsp of Chile Powder.

Salt & Pepper to taste.

The star of this Horse Race is the Kentucky Whiskey.

Pour into the pot about 1/4 cup and more
if you feel like a Winner :)

Stir this pot like your running the park at The Kentucky Derby.

Grab your favorite 26 oz bag of Italian frozen meatballs.

Pour the whole bag of meatballs into the
the pot and give it a good mix.

Guess what...

I just doubled the recipe with another round of the ingredients,

I also poured another bag of meatballs into the pot.

Bring the meatballs to a boil then turn down the heat to low.

Put a lid on the pot and let it simmer for a 1/2 hour or so.
Every so often give the pot a stir.

I had a little taste and decided I wanted it a bit sweeter.

Hit of brown sugar put me close to the lead :)

Give the pot a stir and turn the heat up to medium
for another 25 minutes.

I Came For The Mint Juleps!

Looks Like It's Derby Time!

The Line Up Is Ready...

Kentucky Whiskey Meatballs
Mint Juleps
Tooth Pics

Kentucky Derby usually takes place on the first Saturday of
May each year.

So all you Thoroughbred Horses grab a tooth pic and enjoy some

Kentucky Whiskey Meatballs.

Lets face it, it's the Derby Day food and drinks that make
The Run for the Roses even more fun!!!

Have a Kentucky Whiskey Meatball because I am
betting that you will LOVE it.

Enjoy!
