PEACH JAM

Summer is in full swing!

Peach Jam is a delicious way to use all you summer PEACHES.

This Peach Jam is made without pectin and is so easy. It's great for when you want
to have some fresh Peach Jam but don't want to go through the
bother of canning. Trust me it'll be gone before
you know it anyway!

Grab 8 fresh peaches from your Farmers Market.

Peaches can be difficult to peel. The best way to peel fresh peaches
is to blanch them in boiling water. First, make a
cross at the bottom of the peaches
with a knife.

Get a pot of water boiling on the stove top.

Tumble the peaches into the boiling water for 45 seconds.

Drain the water and be careful.
These peaches are HOT!

Look at that. The skin just falls off the peach.

Voila, that was easy!

Slice up all the peaches into small chunks.
Don't be eating these now :)

Toss all the sliced peaches into a large pot.

Toss in 2 cups of sugar ( remember, you can start with less and add
more if needed, but don't add too little or your jam won't gel. )

Add in the juice from one lemon ( lemon juice is naturally high in
pectin and will help the jam set.)

Give the pot a good mix.

Bring the peaches to a boil.
Use a spatula or masher to
crush the peaches to the desired consistency.

Continue to boil and stir until the peaches reduce, This will take about
15 to 25 minutes. The jam should stick to a spoon when
lifted and turned sideways.

Have a little taste.
YUM!

Let the Peach Jam cool before putting it into the Mason Jars.

Grab your cute Mason Jars.

Peach Jam is ready for my.....

Toast
Ice Cream
Peanut Butter Sandwich
Pancakes
Waffles
Thumprint Cookies
Muffins or Cupcakes
Pork Chops or Pork Tenderloin

...or just my spoon!

Lids on and then off to the refrigerator.

I decorated my Peach Jam with some cute ribbon and
they made great gifts for a few friends for
just because :)

Ford Truck is loaded and off to deliver some
yummy Peach Jam!

Peach Jam really made my Model Bakery English Muffin
even more DELICIOUS...

Enjoy!

P.S.

Here is a jar for you.  XO

P.S.

 Jam, Jelly or Preserves ?

What's the friggin' difference?

Well , it's all about how much physical
fruit you're using (and in what form). Here's the deal:

Jam = chopped fruit + sugar

Jelly = fruit juice + sugar

Preserves = whole or chopped fruit + sugar ( and preserves are typically
canned to enjoy later ).

Now you know!
