Yes, you can make amazing ice cream without a Cow in sight. There are lots of different ingredients to experiment with (coconut milk, frozen bananas, avocados) and you can
do it without an ice cream maker! Yaaaaaa
Pick off 4 very ripe bananas from your banana tree in your yard.
Slice the bananas into 1/4 inch thick rounds.
Lay slices flat in a single layer in a zip lock plastic bag. Not in a big clump.
Freeze the bananas for at least 2 hours or as I did over night.
Grab you favorite peanut butter. I went with Extra Crunchy Jiffy. Make
sure you sick your finger into peanut butter and have a taste...
Yup, it's peanut butter. Yum!
Pull out of the freezer your now frozen bananas.
Place the frozen bananas into a food processor.
Measure out 1/4 cup of peanut butter with an orange spatula, have a lick.
Add the peanut butter to the bananas.
1 tablespoon of coconut oil.
Sprinkle in 1/4 teaspoon of greater nutmeg and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.
Put a lid on it and blend for about 2-3 minutes.
Stop the blending a few times and scrape the sizes.
Looks like ice-cream to me.
If you like a frozen yogurt consistency then dig in now. If your more the
ice-cream type spoon it into a container and
freeze for about an hour.
In the mean time enjoy this.
Screaming for Ice-Cream,
Wait something is missing?
Cherry Please.
Why not just make it Peanut Butter & Jelly while your at it.
Enjoy!
P.S.
You can also top you ice-cream with
Peanuts
Chocolate Chips
Fruit
Butterscotch Chips
Potato Chips :)
