It's almost Valentines Day so keep it Pink.
Say hello to one of my favorite kitchen hacks, this recipe for no- churn ice cream. Pomegranate Ice Cream is really good, totally indulgent. Most ice-cream starts with a custard base that
is cooked and time consuming at best. This one isn't.
Nigella Lawson is credited :)
Grab some already seeded pomegranates at your market.
In a medium size bowl pour in 3/4 cups of Pomegranate Juice, such as
Pom, in place of juicing two pomegranates.
Measure one cup of confection sugar.
Toss the sugar in with Pomegranate Juice and give
a good whisk till dissolved.
Pour in 2 cups of heavy cream.
With your hand mixer whip till soft peaks form in the pale pink.
I see peaks and I see something I want to lick :)
With your "Valentine Spatula" spoon the ice-cream into air tight container.
To be honest I could eat the ice-cream just like this :)
Off the the freezer for at least 4 hours, or over night.
Have a lick…
Grab some bowls because I am screaming for Ice- Creeeeam!
Scoop and top with the Pomegranates.
Spoons please and Happy Valentines Day!
The beauty of this recipe you can make it your own like…
I like to make the ice cream base and then let everyone’s individual taste buds take over to invent their own favorite flavor. Bonus, if you’re looking to create a DIY ice cream bar that doesn't take forever to create, this recipe will be the secret to your success.
Here are some of my favorite flavor combos that I hope will inspire you to create your own faves too:
