IRISH CORN BEEF AND CABBAGE

Hello Lads and Lassies! You ready to get your Irish on?
Every year I like to have a St. Patricks Day Dinner.
My go to traditions is for sure
 Corn Beef and Cabbage.

Wash and Chop your carrots, potatoes and onions. Easy!

Tumble the carrots and onions into the crock pot

Top the carrots and onions with the corn beef and potatoes. Pour two cups of water over the top.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
If you have not used a crock pot
before… you must. Its so simple.
The house smells Amazing all day and one pot means less cleaning :)

Its done so lets EAT…

INGREDIENTS

1 2.5 pound corned beef roast
2 small yellow onions
10 medium carrots
10 baby potatoes
2 cups water
1 head of cabbage

Rinse and prepare your onions, carrots and potatoes. Peel and cut carrots in thirds and cut onions in fourths. Cut your potatoes or leave them whole.

Place onions and carrots on the bottom of a large crock pot. Next remove roast from packing, making sure to remove and save seasoning packet that maybe inside ( my corn beef came marinated in the package ). Place roast along with juices from package inside the crock pot on top of onions and carrots. Season with the season packet that came with the corn beef. Add two cups of water. Place potatoes all around the roast. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

Take your head of cabbage and rinse. Cut the head into fourths. Open the crock pot and place the pieces of cabbage right on top at the last half hour of cooking time.

Remove meat and veggies from crock pot and add to a platter.

Enjoy Your Irish Night...

P.S. Would you like a Guinness?
