I am absolutely Crazy about Mushrooms and Pizza. I put on my Portabella Thinking Cap and made these Ridiculous cute and mouth-wateringPortabella Pizzas. They taste so much like the real thing you won’t care there is no crust. Shhh, they are good for you….Don’t tell anyone! Here is my recipe.
8 Portabella mushrooms.
2 cups of your favorite pizza sauce.
1/3 cup of each: red, green, orange pepper, diced.
1/3 cup sweet onion, diced.
2-3 large basil leaves, finely diced.
1 tsp red pepper flakes.
3 cups of Mozzarella cheese ( Get Crazy, Cheese You Love Will Work )
Drirections: Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Take your baking sheet and cover it with some olive oil.
Remove the stems from the Portabella’s and place on your baking sheet, ‘belly’ side up.
Spoon about 2 tablespoons of you favorite pizza sauce in each of the Portabella’s
Grab your cutting board and chop away at the onions and peppers. Sprinkle them on top of the Portabella’s. Shake on some red peppers and the basil. Top each off with your cheese.
Drizzle a little more olive oil and bake for about 10-15 min. Keep an eye on them while they cook, every oven is a little different. Raid your refrigerate change it up it up… egg plant, pepperoni, ham, sausage. Yum.
