This warm apple-cinnamony aroma will fill your whole house. Slice slits into pork loin horizontally about 3/4 inch deep. Love my monogram cutting board!
Drizzle honey into slits and fill with and apple slice. Lay several apples in the base of the slow cooker. Transfer pork loin into slow cooker. Drizzle any remaining honey and cover with apples and onion. Sprinkle cinnamon all over the lovely pork loin.
The onions truly help cut the flavor, otherwise this would be a huge mouthful of unrelenting sweetness. Cook on low for 7 hours. Now forget about the pork loin and go about your day. I served this dish for a mid week dinner party and there was no rushing or fussing! Server this with any side dish of your choice. The main event is done. Delicious. Here is my recipe.
- 3 pounds porkloin
- 3 red delicious apples, sliced
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 cup red onion, sliced
- Lay several apples in the base of the slow cooker. Slice slits into porkloin horizontally about ¾ inch deep. Drizzle honey into slits and fill each with an apple slice.
- Transfer porkloin to slow cooker. Drizzle with any remaining honey and cover with apples and onions.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon and cook on low for 7 hours.
Enjoy
