Red Chile With Beans "N" Beer is totally a
Playoff Game Day Chile!
This recipe starts with beef and beans in a rich chile sauce
loaded with amazing flavors like BEER :)
Pre-Game Ready!
Slice up about 3 pounds of Flank Steak into 1/2 inch cubes.
In an extra large Dutch Oven heat up some vegetable oil.
Tumble in both the meat and one diced onion to the pot
and cook on medium heat.
Little salt & pepper.
One diced Red Pepper goes in and continue to cook
till the meat has turned a light brown.
Get your next ingredients lined up on the field to join the game.
The meat is nicely brown so pour in 1 1/3 cups of Beef Stock.
The star of the Red Chile With Beans "N" Beer.
Pour into the pot 1 12oz. bottle of beer.
Go ahead and open another bottle of beer to drink while you cook :)
Scoop out 1 tablespoon of Tomato Paste and tumble it in.
Pour in one (8 oz) can of your favorite Tomato Sauce to the pot.
Sprinkle in 1 tablespoon of ground Cumin.
Measure out 1/4 cup of Chile Powder.
Toss in the Chile Powder and give the pot a good stir.
This chile recipe calls for 1 teaspoon of Pepper Sauce.
This brand tastes amazing but more importantly it
supports the Fire Fighters of Palo Alto, Ca.
As many diced Green Chiles as you like.
Drain 2 cans of Chile Beans.
Toss in those Chile Beans because they are the other
stars of the Red Chile With Beans "N" Beer.
Have a taste of the Chile with your beer and see if you
need to add a little more this or that.
Tastes perfect to me.
Bring all this goodness to a simmer and cook for 2 hours
stirring it occasionally.
Make your Green Chile Corn Bread while the chile is cooking away.
