PEAR CRISP

Pear Crisp is the perfect, easy dessert to make. Sweet, warmly spiced pears
are topped with a buttery, crunchy topping made with oats,
brown sugar and pecans. This Pear Crisp is just
Pearfectly Delicious!

Never say no to a scoop of your favorite ice cream on top.

Truck in about 7 pears from your Farmers Market.

Put some lovely music on and start peeling away.

Get the pears all sliced up.
Don't slice the pears too thin or they will break down as they bake
and having some visible slices in the filling is ideal.

Toss the pealed pears into a large bowl.

To the bowl add in ...

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons of cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of salt

Give the bowl a good mix.

Grease up a casserole dish lots of butter.

For the crisp topping you will need 1/2 cup of soft butter.

Pour in 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour.

And there is Mr. Quaker!

Add in 1/2 cup of his rolled oats.

Toss in a 1/2 cup each of white sugar and brown sugar.

To the bowl add in 1/3 cup of finely- chopped pecans.

And there is little Miss Morton.

Add about a 1/4 teaspoon of her salt to the bowl.

Now give all of this yummy stuff a good mix.

Sprinkle the crisp all over the top of the pears and
DO NOT sneak in any bites of the crumble!

Pears are all covered up now.

Bake the Pear Crisp in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.

My truck just rolled in with the timer.

The Pear Crisp is done and my kitchen smells AMAZING.

Grab the Plates, Spoons and some pretty Napkins
because it's time to enjoy this dessert.

Don't forget to grab the ice cream and make sure
the container matches your Napkins :)

Serve the Pear Crisp while it's hot.

Add as much ice cream as you want.

This one is mine!

Would you like a bite?

A Pear Crisp is truly" Pearfectly" delicious so
I say just make it.

If you have any of your Pear Crisp left over it
it will stay in the fridge for several days.

It's fabulous in the morning for breakfast with your cup of coffee too!

Enjoy!

P.S.
