SUGAR CREAM PIE

If your looking doe something indulgent without being over the top
this is the perfect dessert.

The pie is absolutely delectable and oh so sinful. It's comprised of a thick,
vanilla-scented custard that sits atop a flaky, buttery crust that's
dusted with a thin veil of cinnamon.

It's rich, creamy and absolutely heavenly. The close to comfort food as it gets.

Pull out your favorite vintage pie plate.

Roll out your store bought dough to fit a 9in pie plate. Transfer crust to pie plate.
Prick crust just a bit. Line pie crust with heavy-duty foil. Fill
the foil with pie weights, dried beans. Bake for 8 minutes
at 450 degrees until light brown. Cool on a rack.
Reduce heat to 375.

Meanwhile, in a large white saucepan toss in 1 cup of sugar.

1/4 cup of cornstarch.

Pour in 2 cups of your favorite cream into the saucepan.

Place onto the stove top and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat; cook
and stir 2 minutes or until thick and bubbly.

Perfect.

Pull the pot off the heat and tumble in 1/2 a cup of butter.

Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

We have our pie filling. Have a taste you will LOVE it.

Transfer all that custard goodness in to the pie crust.

Finish filling up the pie crust.

Little dusting of ground cinnamon.

Off to a 375 degree oven for about 15-20 or until golden brown.

You kitchen will smell Amazing!

You really need to let the Sugar Cream Pie cool and set before cutting in.

Now time so serve.

Grab a plate.
