PUMPKIN CREAM CHEESE STREUSEL COFFEE CAKE

Pumpkin Cream Cheese Coffee Cake with Streusel is the ultimate fall recipe.
Who's ready for this decadent, rich pumpkin recipe?
It officially feels like fall around here.

For The Topping...

1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar

5 table spoons cold butter (cubed)

Cut with a folk until crumbs about the size of a pea form. Chill until ready to use.

For The Filling...

8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons pumpkin puree

With a "Orange Halloween Spatula" give the filling a good mix and set aside.

For The Cake...

2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
dash of salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cups pumpkin puree
2/3 cups very ripe mashed bananas
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

With a hand held mixer give the bowl a good mix.

Grease a 10 inch square baking dish and pour in 2/3 of the cake batter.

Carefully add cream cheese filling over the cake batter.
Cover the remaining cake batter over the top by dropping spoonfuls all
over the top.

Top the cake with the Streusel mixture.

Off to the 350 degree oven for 45 minutes but check with a toothpick to be sure.

For The Glaze...

1/2 cup powder sugar
2 teaspoons milk

Give a good whisk. Add bit more milk if needed.

My cake is done but not finished yet.

Drizzle glaze over cooled cake.

I have made this Coffee Cake many times over the years. It's fabulous for
 Breakfast & Brunches.

Awesome for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas morning.

My Pumpkin Cream Cheese Streusel Coffee Cake was
delivered to my girlfriend for a special brunch
she was having with her family.

Hope you love this recipe as much as we do.

Enjoy!
