CHEESY PARTY POTATOES

Well...Let me just say there are potatoes and then there are Party Potatoes! The Kind that
are so addictive you can eat maybe half of the pan in one sitting, because
in this moment, meat becomes over rated.

Chop up one onion.

Saute the onion in about 2-3 tablespoons of butter. Season with salt & pepper.

Let the onions cool.

The star of Party Potatoes are theses shredded Hash Browns that are fresh not frozen.
Most markets I have seen carry them located near the dairy section.

Toss the Hash Browns into a large bowl.

Stir in a can of cream of chicken soup.

One pint of sour cream next.

Add in 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.

Give the all the ingredients a good mix.

Add in the saute onions.

Spread the potatoes mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Oh yes we are :)

Crush up about a cup of potatoes chips.

Sprinkle the potatoes chips all over the top.

Top with about 1/4 cup of cheese and off the a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
You can certainly make this a day ahead and keep
it in the refrigerator. I served this side dish for
my 4th of July Party and made
 it the day before.

Done.

Little green onion for garnish. Pour the wine John and let the
Fourth Of July Dinner Party get started.

Soft, tender and smothered with cheese. This is creamy :)

Not much left over from The Forth Of July dinner.

But I saved you a plate.

Enjoy!

P.S.

This whips up so fast and taste like it was made with a Basha Mel Sauce.

P.S. Again

We save room for dessert. My All American Mini Cherry Pies and..

Mini Ice Cream Cones and a Ice Cream Cookies from Trader Joe's.

Happy 4th Of July!
