Ridiculously Good...

Let's get moving Berry Fast in the kitchen now because
I am DROOLING for a Strawberry Shortcake Bar. :)

Wash and drain a bunch of fresh Strawberries.

You will need 2 cups of diced Strawberries for this recipe.

In a large bowl add in 1 cup of Unsalted Butter.

Toss in...

1/2 cup of Granulated Sugar
1 cup of All-Purpose Flour.

With a Purple spatula give the bowl a good mix.

Butter up an 8x8 inch baking pan.

Press half of the mixture into the pan to form an even layer.

Off to the oven to bake for 15-20 minutes till lightly golden.

My timer is set. :)

On to the filling but first whip yourself up a

Strawberry Lemonade!

Dice up 2 cups of fresh Strawberries into bite size pieces.

I always save my Bonne Maman Preserve Jars
because they are Cute & Useful in
so many ways.

Tumble the Strawberries into a bowl.

Sprinkle in 1/4 cup of Powdered Sugar.

Pour in 1/4 cup of Heavy Cream to the bowl.

Pour in 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract.

Gently stir the bowl till they all get well acquainted.

Omg, I could just eat up this bowl now.

Drooling Delicious!

Grab the the baked crust.

Spread the Strawberries mixture over the baked crust.

Now for the topping.

Sprinkle some of the reserve crumb mixture on top.

Place in the oven to bake for an
additional 30 -35 minuted until topping turns golden.

Your kitchen is going to smell beyond Amazing!

Timer set again. :)

Now for the glaze add about a 1/4 cup of Powdered Sugar to
a cut jar and add several drops of Heavy Cream.

Pour in just a spot of vanilla.

Whisk Whisk Whisk.

Add more Sugar or Cream to your liking if you want.

Strawberry Shortcake Bars are out of the oven.

How does your kitchen smell?

Devine I am sure.

Let the Strawberry Shortcake Bars cool COMPLETELY.

The cooling period helps set the filling so the glaze
you pour won't run all over.

Slice away with a Pink knife.

Glaze Time...

Be An Artist...

Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bars.

Now to plate these Strawberry Shortcake Bars.

This Strawberry Platter will work.

Just The Sight Of This Gets Me Excited.

Strictly speaking you shouldn't leave them standing
alone or they will be grabbed up straight away.

This Strawberry Shortcake Bar Is For You. XO
