BEEF AND GUINNESS HAND PIES

"Oh The Luck Of The Irish"

These savory beef & stout hand pies are perfect for St. Patricks's Day dinner!
Filled with a rich beef and a whole bottle of Guinness, they're
sure to satisfy your Irish taste buds!

Yes, these Hand Pies have some yummy vegetables too :)

With a green knife peel and dice up two Irish potatoes into tiny piece.

Dice up one onion with that green knife.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef.

Drain the fat from the pan, then add in the onions and cook till softened.

Toss in a cup of frozen green peas.

To the pot toss in the diced Irish potatoes.

Pour in 2 tbsp of Worcestershire sauce.

One whole bottle of Guinness Stout goes into the pot
to start that Irish Jig...

Add in 1/2 tsp of thyme.

Salt & Pepper, to taste.

Give the pot a good mix.

Bring all the ingredients to a boil then reduce heat and simmer
for 7-8 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Then turn off the heat.

Grab a green spoon and have a taste.

Roll out 2 store bought pastry dough and cut out four 16-5 inch rounds.

Lay the pastry rounds on a parchment lined cookie sheet.

Grab your meat mixture off the stove.

Spoon filling onto two of the rounds.

You will have plenty of meat mixture left over to freeze or make more Hand Pies.

Cover the meat mixture with the other pastry rounds.

Press the dough with a folk all around to seal it closed.

Brush the edges with a little bit of milk.

Bake the Hand Pies in a 375 degree oven for about
45 minutes until pastry is golden.

My Hand Pies are done.

Irish Floral arrangement in a cabbage is done and my vase is filled :)

Little green garnish on the pies and fill up the glasses with some Guinness.

Time to enjoy...
