SLOW COOKER MONGOLIAN BEEF

When it rains all weekend I put on my slow cooker and watch some great movies.
The house smells amazing all day and who cares if it is still raining now.

This Mongolian beef is flank steak cooked with lots of spices.
This crock pot recipe taste just like a meal you would
get in a Chinese restaurant.

"Delicious"

Make your own take out with this easy Mongolian beef recipe!

Place 2 pounds of thinly slice flank steak into a large bowl.

Toss in 1/4 cup of cornstarch.

Toss the beef to coat evenly.

Tumble all the meat into your slow cocker or crockpot if thats what you call it ;)

Pour in1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil.

Add in 1 teaspoon of minced garlic & minced ginger.

Pour in 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce.

Next to in to the pot is 1/3 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of water.

Stir to coat the meat in the sauce.

Cover and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours or LOW for 4-5 hours.

Now go binge a TV show or watch a movie because your done cooking!

Making meals like this in a slow cooker Mongolian Beef is
one of my favorite things to do. Not only does it allow you to have
a nice meal, it feels like you're getting to skip all the cooking.
Am I Cheating?

Mongolian Beef Is Ready!

Mongolian Beef pairs well with steamed rice or cauliflower rice. I serve it
with a green vegetable on the side such as broccoli or asparagus.

If you have leftovers it is fabulous in some lettuce cups.

Enjoy!

P.S

Cooking in a slow cooker really allows flavors a chance to sink in.

Why is it called Mongolian Beef?

Mongolian Beef was created in Taiwan where this dishes was made popular.
Mongolian Restaurants started popping up and carried the name.
